Camille Carpentier, a Belgian freelance illustrator based in Knokke. Her work ranges from socially engaged projects to whimsical and cute KidLit illustrations that are inspired by folklore, and personal experiences. She loves working with traditional and handcrafted media such as lino printing, papercraft and embroidery, often combining them with digital techniques in unconventional ways (see Katjepult Game).
She also runs her own art fair called Prente Art Market as a way to give back to the illustration community and to give young artists a bigger platform to show their work.
In her free time you can find Camille knitting, making pottery or playing video games. She has a little black cat called Ophelia who is often the inspiration for her silly cat illustrations.
