Le Livre des Animaux Marin

This is an other version of my interactive paper engineering piece: Le Grand Livre des Animaux, where you pull a little paper lever to make the little book flip open on it’s own. All the animal characters are painted in such a way the heads fit perfectly on top of the readers’. Some of the animals have extra ears that flip open when turned. The girls’ legs and visible arm are movable through paper rivets.

The piece is entirely handcrafted with paper and painted with gouache and pencil.
